Oh hell, Neill Blomkamp's Elysium looks cool. We can not wait to see District 9's Neill Blomkamp and Sharlto Copley teamed up one more time. Copley plays the demented henchmen named Kruger, left on Earth to police the garbage planet, while the rich dine in the classy space station called Elysium.
Copley is apparently the only thing standing between Matt Damon and Elyisum, and from the looks of this new image released by Empire Magazine, things are going to get biotechy and dirty (just like D9). Earlier in the year at Comic-Con, Copley revealed this bit of news about his character to us:
"He's a person who has the right to be living on Elysium, because he is one of them. But he's a special forces soldier, sort of a black ops guy who has to spend most of his time living on Earth. [And] Earth is a very unpleasant place for somebody who should be living in Elysium to live in. He gets to deal with the real issues, the real problems. He's not a guy who talks and plays political games, he has to go and deal with people who do bad things to each other. It's a rough place, sometimes you have to do rough things to survive in rough places. It might make you a little bit unstable from time to time."
Can't wait to see the trailer, Elysium will hit theaters on August 9th, 2013.
