After getting attacked by a gang of kids, director Ciaran Foy used images and inspirations from his own experience and turned it into a horror movie about a pack of feral mutant teens. Titled Citadel, the movie follows an agoraphobic main character, who's still trying to get over his first encounter with the "hoods" as Foy calls them. The violent group of kids, who can sense your fear, are based on meth addicts and images of feral children.

We kind of love that this all stemmed from Foy's original terror and his efforts to cope with the trauma of assault, and then he twisted it into something even more gruesome.
Citadel will be opening in select theaters beginning November 9th.
